~ a decade of dreams ~
to 10 years of pastoring, loving, caring, teaching, discipling.
"(to) Raise up a generation of people who are willing to give God the best years of their lives and God will use this generation to impact all levels of society and all walks of life."pastors like spiritual parents, who love their people as their kids.
Pastors who love with all their heart, who care enough to enter their lives, to love them. Pastors that will go all out and play in arcades with people so much younger than them, pastors who would push away appointments to be with them. Pastors who would bring them shopping, who would take them on dinners to let them know what's it like to have a family dinner, who would teach them to keep their nails trimmed and pretty and be there for them when their kids needed them. Pastors who would try ways and means to help their kids, always wanting the better for them, then feel upset/vexed when they hadnt learnt, yet never giving up on them. Pastors who would still take time out, despite their hectic schedules to say hi to new people, to handwrite birthday cards, to invent ways to make stories from the bible memorable. Pastors who'd MSN, SMS, email notes of encouragement to their kids, stand up for their kids when they are made fun of. Pastors who'd still be truly concerned and give their time even when called late at night by their kids.
wow. they really arent just pastors anymore, but our spiritual parents.
Dom was talking about the fighter planes we were, or the ones in the process of manufacturing. Powerful fighter planes that would be launched into the world, to fight our spiritual wars. Emblazoned on our bodies wouldnt be the enowned names of powerful jets in the world, the ones commonly seen. instead, nothing at all would be seen on us. but if you'd just look closely, we'd be covered with fingerprints, fingerprints of the 2 pastors who have molded and shaped us tirelessly into what we are today, or what we're going to be. and if you'd just look closely, you'd see the stains, of blood, sweat and tears, of all the hardwork that has gone into us, in attempt of making us the best we could be. and we'd listen to only 2 commanders, awaiting the day we're ready to be launched, to fight this war we've been called to.
for all they've done...
and the amazing God who was given them to us...
the future's indeed, going to be AMAZING
=D
